Christmas Fantasy Grotto...

If you have a little girl, their fondness for pink, sparkles and all things magical is already well known to you! So what about letting them express their 'inner fairy' and capturing the moment forever with a photographic session in our custom-built woodland wonderland.

In our studios (and in consultation with a small committee of faery folk), we have created our very own woodland grotto for aspiring fairies to be photographed in. We also have appropriately beautiful costumes and accessories to complete their fairy look before their mini-shoot.

We are opening our grotto from Friday Friday 30th November 2012 to Sunday 2nd December 2012 and you can find out how to book below. You will be able to take away framed and/or mounted photographs on the day, perfect for Christmas presents.

What's Involved

You need to book up your time slot (all the details are below) and then when you arrive you will be greeted and shown through to our wardrobe area, if you haven't bought your own costume. Once your little fairy or princess (or lumberjack - see below) is suitably attired and looking lovely, you will accompany them through to the grotto. It is a simple session that should not take more than 5 minutes. Then it will be time to de-fairy and go to view your finished images. You can then make your selection and decide what you would like to purchase (although there is not obligation or high pressure sales techniques). Details of the print and frame prices are below. Finally, you just need to take a seat and relax while we prepare your order for you to take away with you. It is as simple as that! All photos will uploaded the following day to a secure area of our website where you will have a chance to share them with friends and family, order additional products such as keyrings, mousemats, mugs etc

Fairy & Princess Wardrobe Selection

The shoot wouldn't be complete without a fairy or princess in full regalia, the more frills and layers the better as far as we are concerned. We have quite a few choices of outfit available for you, particularly if your little fairy is aged between 2 and 5. If they are outside of this age range, we do still have some costume options but not quite so many so you might want to bring along your own. We do have a good variety of wings, and wands (of course!) so you are welcome to mix and match from our selection.

Lumberjacks

Of course boys are welcome too, but you will need to bring along your own costume, whether you see your little one as a pixie, elf or general woodland explorer in jeans and lumberjack shirt, it is up to you. We have an alternative scene with the addition of a wood pile and axe, which will offer an alternative macho scene for little boys. We have a single check lumberjack shirt which can be used, one size fits all, but please bring your own if you have them. Jeans and boots will complete the costume!

Of course most of our fairies will be far too beautiful already to worry about make up, but it's a good idea to steer away from applying any glitter to the face or hair as it can appear a little strange in the finished images.

We are offering our visitors 20 minute time slots, so you can choose when you'd like to come. Hopefully this will avoid any waiting around for you or your young models. We have two parking spaces immediately outside the studio but there is also plenty of parking on the road.

Here is the booking calendar for our fairy grotto event only (please just use the normal calendar for any other sessions but please note an influx of fairies does mean that we aren't able to run any other portrait sessions whilst our grotto is in place).
